TedaPan is a knowledge-based advanced wound management product designed for the treatment of various open skin wounds, particularly diabetic ulcers. Developed by KNS, this product functions as a smart dressing that mimics the structure of natural skin to accelerate healing and achieve high-quality tissue repair with minimal scarring.
This intelligent dressing responds to environmental stimuli such as pH and temperature variations. TedaPan simulates the physiological pH of healthy skin under different conditions. Through temperature responsiveness, it enables controlled release of antibacterial agents and regenerative factors at the wound site. TedaPan consists of a delicate nanofibrous layer that mimics the fibrous architecture of skin and acts as a temporary scaffold for damaged tissue cells, providing a safe environment for inflammation control, cell growth, and proliferation. The product contains biopolysaccharides such as chitosan and natural extracts including propolis and thyme (pharmaceutical grade), which provide sustained antibacterial activity through gradual release at the wound bed.
Upon contact with the moist wound surface, the dressing becomes transparent, enabling continuous monitoring of the healing process. Packaging
Primary packaging contains one sterile advanced dressing measuring 7 × 7 cm.
Instructions for Use
- Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
- Use sterile gloves.
- Clean the wound surface with a sterile solution to remove contamination and infection.
- If necrotic tissue, adherent debris, or biofilm is present, perform surgical debridement using a sterile blade.
- Cut TedaPan according to wound size so that at least 5 mm beyond the wound margins is covered.
- Secure the dressing with adhesive tape if needed. (Note: if exudate is heavy, sterile gauze may be used as a secondary dressing.)
- If the wound is dry, apply one drop of distilled water or saline onto the dressing to make it transparent for monitoring.
- If exudate is heavy, change the dressing after 24 hours; otherwise, change after at least 48 hours.
- For removal, apply a few drops of saline or distilled water; the dressing will detach easily and painlessly.
