This dressing is intelligent because:
Reason 1: Under any condition and on any wound—regardless of the wound pH—it simulates the physiological pH of healthy skin (acidic pH between 5 and 6). This creates an intrinsic antibacterial barrier against pathogen entry, providing a bacteria-reduced environment conducive to tissue repair.
Reason 2: This dressing can sense temperature changes. A rise in temperature at the wound surface (approximately 1.5 to 2°C above normal) is an alarm sign indicating increased microbial load, enhanced colonization, and the onset of infection. Upon detecting such temperature changes, the dressing significantly increases the release dose of natural antibacterial agents to eliminate contamination. In addition, a greater amount of regenerative oils is delivered into the wound bed, thereby accelerating healing.
Reason 3: This dressing has a nanofibrous structure that mimics the extracellular matrix of natural skin. In other words, it signals to the body that a tissue-like scaffold is assisting the healing process. As a result, biochemical signaling pathways are activated, enhancing cellular migration and delivery of essential repair biomolecules to the wound bed. It also functions as a temporary matrix, allowing dermal fibroblasts to adhere, grow, and proliferate effectively, supporting natural collagen synthesis without scar formation or fibrotic tissue. TedaBurn is a delicate nanofibrous layer that becomes transparent upon contact with the moist wound surface, enabling monitoring of the healing process. Its fibrous structure is fabricated using biocompatible polymers such as chitosan, with excellent biological and regenerative properties. Natural antibacterial oils and extracts are encapsulated within the fibers and are gradually released into the wound bed through a sustained-release mechanism.
TedaBurn is manufactured using the latest nanofibrous-layer production technology and, due to its specialized formulation and advanced manufacturing process, it simulates a structure similar to the natural extracellular matrix of the skin.
